Transport for NSW has developed a new Guidelines for transport model section and application. The Guideline is predominantly intended to provide guidance for both public and private organisations who, as part of project evaluation, need to undertake some form of transport analysis which would normally include computer-based transport modelling and also facilitate communication between the non-modelling customer and the technical experts undertaking the modelling and analysis.
The Guidelines will be applicable to both transport infrastructure and development proposals that require TfNSW modelling assessment, including:
- Transport implications of land use and development projects
- Planning, evaluation and design of infrastructure projects of varying sizes
- Policy interventions and
- Technology interventions.
The Guidelines are currently under development and scheduled for release in late 2023.
