It is the shared responsibility of all practitioners to effectively plan, design, deliver, and manage our public spaces and movement systems. This hub presents learning materials to help us balance movement and place outcomes.
eLearning modules
This eLearning series explains the NSW Movement and Place Framework and provides clear examples of how you can apply it. Across 6 modules, you will learn where and how to apply the Framework, who implements it, and the benefits to practitioners and communities. The series takes about 3 hours to complete.
Note: Transport for NSW employees should undertake this training via Transport Equip Success Factors to record their learning on their work profile.
In-person training course
The UTS Movement and Place Course expands on the eLearning modules and applies the NSW Movement and Place Framework to practical examples. Participants will undertake a site visit to apply the Framework and develop a vision for the space, producing viable options to improve the site.
Training course materials
Detailed material is available to help universities and training organisations run in-person Movement and Place Framework training. The workshop uses hands-on exercises to apply the theory from the eLearning modules to real world examples. Detailed presentations encourage diverse perspectives, collaboration and creative design solutions.
