This advice is for project teams starting the Movement and Place core process and can help you establish a context analysis, vision and objectives.
As suggested in the Practitioners' Guide, a core project team does the initial work towards establishing a place-based vision by reviewing the context, understanding the planning intent, and reviewing previous consultations with the community. With a good understanding of place and movement, the core team can then collaborate with the broader group of stakeholders to identify ideas and issues to be addressed in the project.
The following pages provide guidance on the inputs, outputs and processes leading up to the first stakeholder workshop. It also offers advice on how to run the workshop based on previous project experiences.
Project teams are encouraged to record the completion of these steps in the Movement and Place collaboration report.
