Example

Renwick Street at Leichhardt adopts a playful approach to public space created as a shared zone which formerly joined Parramatta Road at a T-intersection. The street environment is reenvisaged as a square. The sculpture of a stretched Vespa acknowledges the area's Italian heritage, and also provides seating. The surrounding land use spills out into the street area activating it. Paving and smart poles contribute to a high level of finish appropriate for a place for socialising and spending time.
