Enterprise contexts include commercial, industrial, and large-lot retail areas and are found alongside most cities and towns in NSW. They are significant places for employment, freight, and
services. Roads and streets are often wider in these areas to accommodate a greater number of heavy vehicles. Large car parks are also common. As a result of these built forms and vehicle
movements, these areas are often very car dominated. However, enabling people to walk and cycle – such as for staff commuting to work – is also an important consideration in road and street
design.
