|Indicator Name||Housing diversity|
|User Outcome||Local opportunities|
To measure the diversity of housing types and structure across NSW.
A diversity of housing types helps cater to the housing needs of people at different stages of their lives, and of an increasingly diverse range of household types.
This indicator will support practitioners to understand the range of housing options available in an area. Based on the outcome of the assessment, practitioners can determine impacts to the urban form, development opportunities, dwelling sizes and resultant household types.
Practitioners can use the diversity of dwellings metric to measure the diversity of dwellings within the six residential land zones of interest.
Practitioners can use the diversity of dwelling structure metric to measure the number of dwelling structure types in an area.
